Who we are

PetNest Malta (company number EF202626200409, VAT number MT33086333), 144 Gawhra, Triq il-Kapuċċini, Il-Kalkara, Malta, is the controller of the personal data collected through this website. For any privacy question, email petnestmalta@gmail.com.

What we collect

• Order details: your name, email address, phone number, delivery address, locality, order contents and any notes you add.
• Payment information: card payments are processed by Stripe and Revolut Pay payments by Revolut. We receive confirmation of payment and limited details such as the card type, but never your full card number.
• Messages: what you send us through the contact form, email or WhatsApp.
• Newsletter and stock alerts: your email address and the date you gave consent.
• Reviews: the name and review you choose to publish.
• Usage data: if you accept analytics or marketing cookies, information about how you use the site.

Why we use it

• To process, deliver and support your order. The legal basis is performance of a contract.
• To send order confirmations, delivery updates and, after a completed order, a single thank you email with a discount code and an invitation to review your purchase. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in looking after our customers. You can opt out at any time.
• To send our newsletter, only if you have asked for it. The legal basis is consent.
• To keep accounting and tax records, as required by law.
• To understand how the website is used and to measure advertising, only if you accept the relevant cookies. The legal basis is consent.

Who we share it with

We share personal data only with service providers that help us run the shop, under contracts that protect your data. These include our payment providers (Stripe and Revolut), our website hosting and infrastructure provider, our email delivery provider, and, with your consent, Google Analytics and Meta (Facebook and Instagram) for analytics and advertising. We never sell your data.

Some providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where this happens, transfers are protected by European Commission approved safeguards.

How long we keep it

Order records are kept for six years to meet accounting obligations. Newsletter subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe. Messages are deleted after two years unless they relate to an open order.

Your rights

You can ask to access, correct or delete your personal data, to restrict or object to its use, and to receive a copy of it. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time. Email petnestmalta@gmail.com and we will reply within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information and Data Protection Commissioner in Malta (idpc.org.mt).
